Why not buy a MUCH cheaper Duron, OC the begezzus out of it, and get much better 3D performance than the Celly? (although gaming is more a video card thing than a CPU thing)

(I know I know, you probably already have an intel chipset mobo... ;))

566 celly 2 , although i hear the 600 clocks up well also. even though i have a celly 566 @952 , i agree with Poof on the Duron , unless of course you already have a intel mobo. i wish id have waited and went that route(Duron)

I agree. The 566a seems to be the one. But like others have said, I would personally go for a Duron at this point. It's the best price/performance chip out now. Celeron used to hold that crown but it's best days are behind it now.

there is no set speed to which you can over-clock a certain cpu . there are too many variables , not the least of which is being lucky enough to get a cpu that clocks up well . the 566 appears to be your best bet though as speeds of 850+ are very common , ive seen the 600 up there as well , but i think youd have a better chance with the 566. just make sure your case air flow is good , and you have a good HSF , i use a Global-Win FOP-32 on mine.

sorry double post , there is another option depending on your mobo , the p3 600e is only about 110-120 bucks right now and there are a high percentage of folks clocking it up to 800mhz. (133 FSB) jsut some food for thought.
