Looking to buy a CDRW drive soon and am once again trusting the great people here to help :). I have the Plextor 241040A in mind and also saw the Philips PCRW2010 did well in reviews. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks a lot.

I just got my free Yamaha 3200e and I do have to say it is one nice drive.
Faster than my Liteon 24x(not by much)
I can say that if I was going to spend the money I would get the Yamaha.

For 24x, there really isnt anything that can match the Yamaha CRW3200, maybe the Plextor. You might as well wait for Plextor's 40x12x40 CD-RW though.

The Plextor 40X is already available at Mwave.

The only thing I dislike about it is the software, Adaptec/Roxio has not worked well in the past for me.

I would also suggest the Liteon from NewEgg. It comes with Nero burning software, IMHO better than Roxio!
