Best CD-RW?

I've been researching for the best CD-R to put in my new dream system, I was leaning toward the Plextor 12/10/32A until I read that you need special disks to write at higher speeds.

Do I need special disks to make CD-Rs? That is what I will mainly use it for. If I need special disks to make CD-RWs at 10x, I can live with the 4x it will throttle down to for regular disks.

Also, if you have any good suggestions for other CD-RW drives, I would be interested.

I don't want the Ricoh CD-RW+DVD drive, I already have picked out the Pioneer 105S for my DVD needs.

Thanks.

All you should need are disks that are rated at 12x...

most CD media that you can buy now are rated at that speed.

The Plextor is a good drive. I've also heard very many good things about the TDK VeloCD 12/10/32. All of the reviews I've read show that the TDK performs just as well as if not better than the Plextor. In my opinion you can't go wrong with either one of these drives.

the plextor and the tdk both use the burnproof technology and i do beleive that there is an iomega drive that uses it too(i read somewhere that it is just as fast as the plextor but it is much much cheaper? i may be wrong on this). i am going to be getting either the plextor or the tdk depends on the price when i decide to buy.

p.s. sorry about the no caps thing its late :0)
