best cd->mp3/wav software?

i'm currently using audiograbber 1.7 and i'm getting weird scratching noises. what's the best software to use besides audiograbber? or am i just doing something wrong? my settings maybe?

EAC + Lame encoder ver 3.87 VBR @ 192 does it for me and I will never use anything else again (unless newer version of course).
