I installed 2 x 80mm intake fans (bottom front) and 2 x 80mm exhaust fans (top rear) in my Antec 1030 case. I felt that this would be the best config as heat rises.

I totally agree acccept i think it would be better if you had a side intake fan to cool you graphics chip. But other than that 2 in the back and 2 in the front is the best.
Yep yep - what hte other guys said - air IN bottom front and OUT top back.
One more detail since I made a slight adjustment to my system after starting that way, and it seemed to lower CPU temperature slightly.
My mobo supports 3 fans (CPU and 2 case), but case takes 4 fans. Initially I had the 2 back fans hooked up the motherboard (speed controlled by temp), and the two front ones hooked up to standard drive power cables, so they were always running full speed. I moved things around so I had one of the better separate fans I bought bottom front, running full speed, and one top back running full speed, and had the lower fan in teh back and the higher fan in the front be the standard case fans running speed controlled by the motherbard.
HA! I have THREE fans in front thanks to my new Antec SX835 sucking the air in and two in the back letting it out. It dropped my temperatures considerably compared to my old case, by more than 15C! Wow!
