I have very vague memories of it - specifically a disembodied floating bearded head that picks up a kid in a park at night. bonus: it's Christian Bale's first movie.

Princess Mononoke is a good one. It is a Japanese Anime, but it doesn't suffer from the how flashy can we make this syndrome that most anime suffers. It has a good story, albeit confusing for a lot of people.
