Need the best on a tight budget. My Radeon 8500 has been messed up since I got it and I can't find the receipt! What should I do?

If it's a retail version with 3 year warranty(?) you may not need a receipt to RMA it to ATI.

 
I never registered the card with ati. Think they will still accept me for RMA? I bought it about a year ago, retail version.

Won't hurt to call.
If not, the Ti4200, as has been wisely suggested, may be had for well below $120.
