I'm trying to find the best card available for under $100. Preferably more in the $75 range. I mainly want it to play World of Warcraft, which will be out soon. Right now I am using a GeForce2 Ultra 64MB card. I am going to put this in my fiancee's system and get something a little better for my own. Any suggestions?

1.1 GHz AMD Thunderbird processor
ABIT KT-7 RAID Motherboard
384 MB PC133 SDRAM
80 GB WD Hard Drive

And no, I can't afford to upgrade my cpu/mobo right now.

I just picked up a new Albatron Geforce4 ti4200 128MB for my brothers computer build for $60. I think that a ATI 9600 PRO can be had for about $100 if you look around some and less if you pick one up used. A used 9500 Pro are around $80-100 and they are great cards. Any of those are pretty good cards and should be a good boost in performance over your geforce2.

I think 9600 pros can be found for under 100 bucks if you look, and they would mop the floor with a ti4200. And if not, 9600 non pros can be had for 50 bucks. which are a tad slower then the ti4200 and if you turn on aa/af it will be much faster.

Check eBay, the prices have moved down there, where the FS/FT forums seem to have stayed a little higher.

I've bought two 9700 non-pros from ebay for $101 and $103 shipped. You'd never see those prices on the FS/FT forum. In fact, you see some people selling 9500pro cards for more than that on FS/FT.

You'll see several Ti 4200s in the eBay completed listings in the $50 range that after shipping would be ~$60.

There are others if you look.

That is eactly where I got mine. Brand new in the box with the buy it now option. Not a bad deal at all. I tested it out and it an okay overclocker doing 310 core and not as good on the memory at 560. Still plenty fast for my brother. I used my ti4200 to play FarCry at 1024x768 with medium settings. No AA/AF.
