Best Card for under $175

The fan on my card died, and I have $175 to spend. I have a 9500Pro with the Warp BIOS (9700Pro). I was looking at the X1600PRO with 512MB. I'd describe myself as a "moderate to light" gamer. I play Far Cry which is probably the most advanced game I play. Mostly it's BF'42. So whats the best in my price range? Thanks in advance.

Oh and it has to be AGP.

Snap G look on the FS/T threads.
Like a week ago i saw a X850XT PE go for around $160 AGP8X.
If you look im sure youll find some awsome deals. Happy searching!

IMNSHO, your money would be better spent replacing the fan and saving the rest for a full upgrade to a PCIe setup.

I'm nervous about doing that. I've never removed a heatsink from a video card and I'm unsure what i need to do. Isn't it epoxied onto the chip?

I haven't seen one that's epoxied on yet. There should be two pins holding the heatsink down to the card. You'll need to remove those two pins (by either squeezing on the sides, squeezing the bottom, lifting the top, etc) and the heatsink should just lift off pretty easily (some gentle twisting may help). Try going to the website of a maker of replacement coolers and see their install instructions -- it's really not that hard (and if the fan on the card's dead already, you don't have too much to lose if you screw it up).
