Best card for under 150?

I need to get my friend a video card that is under 150 at any retail store(ie best buy, circuit city, frys) near sanjose, or sacremento. Im going to visit him tomorrow and the 9600 pro i bought him @ newegg came busted. Its for halo and other newer games so it needs to be geforce 4 or up. Id really appreciate any help.

Best Buy has recently had several cards on clearance in your price range; you might get lucky and find one of these or something similar:

BFG Asylum 5600 Ultra flip chip $105 ($125 some stores) after mail-in rebate ($174.99 before MIR)
PNY Ti4600 $139.99 at some stores ($169.99 at my closest store)
PNY 5600 Ultra flip chip $155 after MIR ($184.99 before MIR)

Yeah, check on DahDee's recommendations--they're your best bet for retail puchases, if you can afford to wait for a MIR.

I have the ATI radeon 128MB for $170 on my business site, I bet you can get it online for half price if you live in the US. You spoiled americans with all those discount sites like newegg and ebay. (sure canadians can buy, but the exchange rate and shipping make it more expensive then buying it local which is exepensive to start off with )
