best card for graphic design and minor gaming under $100?

Most of all I need a card that can give me beautiful color quality at 1600x1200x85Hz. I'd also like something that gives me the ability to barely play some 3D games (you know, 1024x768/30fps/no AA). My budget is $100 firm.

what are my best bets? (keep in mind I've been using a Matrox G400 for a while, so I'm counting on the sharpness/color quality of this next card to be as good)

I would prolly say Radeon 9600 Pro, but i dont know how good the color quailty is etc. for graphic design.
 
pfft yeah there is. a 9600 might be good, but I just need to figure out which brand has the best color

My fiance is a graphic design major and is usually impressed by the color on my 9800. I'd imagine that the 9600 would nearly be the same 2d.
