Best car magazine?

This is for a christmas present - would prefer a mainstream mag (ie., not "lowriders)
that reviews most normal cars (not a lot of test drives on lamborghini (sp?), astin martin (sp?), etc)

any info is appreciated

Yep. They occasionally have the custom-job or exotic tests, but for the most part they're the People's Car Mag. That and the letters section can be gold at times.

Car and Driver has the best writing of any car magazine I have read. Much better than Road and Track or Motor Trend.

Car and Driver has been my long-time favorite. Its the best attainable car magazine out there. If they like info more quickly, then maybe Auto-Week, although they are about 15 pages of actual content and 30 pages of ads.
