I stole some candy and was chased by cops for 32 miles before making a sharp right turn into an alleyway for the smooth getaway. Woohoo free lollys! :D

<< Ronin. >>

You know, everyone mentions Ronin as having the best car chase scene ever (they even mention it on the TNT commercial), but when I saw it, I wasn't too impressed. It's late right now though, so I can't think of any better car chase scene...

That one time that crazy guy jacked an M60 tank from an army base and drove it around LA. The tank was supposedly equipped with chemical and nuclear weapons defense systems so they couldn't gas him or do anything pleasant. Cops followed him around for a while and couldn't do jack sh*t. Tank guy tried to ram a bridge overpass support to block off the patrol cars in pursuit, but the bridge wouldn't budge. Genius later got the tank stuck on a freeway divider, so the cops went up to the tank, pried open the hatch and capped the guy.

Yep that would be the one I would say

I agree with McPhreak, Ronin's were not really that great IMO, but then again I like the more brutal stuff, give me an Aussie classic .... Mad Max and Road Warrior :)

The original Gone in 60 Seconds had the best car chase scene IMO. The new Gone in 60 seconds was too unrealistic imo. Ronin's chase scenes were also somewhat unrealistic but they used great euro cars like the Audi S8.

This is repeated on TLC over and over and over again. Its happened in 1995 or so. The cops followed him at turtle pace and the guy in tank destroying everything in its path. It knocked over a light pole and he dragged it across for a while. When the tank drove over some parked cars it crushed like tin can.

I was just driving home, pulled up next to rwo guys in a '99 3.8, they "inspired" me to floor it by saying "hey, that's a 5.0? That car ain't hot, Let's see you light em up right now!"

I kinda left smoking tracks of rubber straight across the intersection after that... they decided to turn left.
