Best camera for uploading YouTube videos

Hi. I'm a YouTube video blogger and recently my logitech webcam has become less and less clear. I have a digital camera but rarely use it for YouTube because it takes forever to upload videos. If I use a camcorder will the upload time take just as long as my digital camera? Thanks.

What quality video are you using on your digital camera?

It's worth the wait if you're using 720p or 1080p. You will increase your viewership with higher quality videos if you're looking to get serious about your video blogging.

Do you want a webcam or a point and shoot type of camera? You mention the upload time - but with longer upload times also comes better quality video.

I really dont like uploading a 500 meg file for 5 minutes of video. But when your broadcasting in 1080p hd, you dont really have a choice.

Personally, I use the Canon 130 SX IS. The files are edited in Windows Movie Maker Live for windows 7 and uploaded.
