Best "camcorder" app for iPhone 4S?

Megatomic

Lifer
Sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the general consensus on which is the best "camcorder" app for an iPhone 4S? Free is not mandatory but is appreciated, I'll pay for a great app that is easy to use and produces good, highly share-able clips. If it has the option to upload directly to Facebook that would seal the deal for me.

TIA

Is there something the built in app isnt doing for you? Maybe that would help us recommend something.

Well apparently he wants to upload it straight to facebook from the app, but otherwise yea, what's the built-in missing?

I've only just recently started playing the the built-in app, so I can't really say what it's missing. But being able to upload video to Facebook quickly and easily is huge for me. Whether you hate it or not, the fact is most people are on it, and in my case I keep in touch with my family in large part with Facebook. And I'm lazy, I don't want to have to do a lot of "work" to get videos uploaded.

I hope I don't sound like a jerk here, but yeah, that's my primary motive. And if the app comes with other neat tricks, so much the better.

Why can't you take the video with the stock app and upload it with the facebook app....

If you are looking for an app that is better however, Filmic Pro allows you to upload directly to Facebook, turn off stabilization (which if you are using a tripod, will increase sharpness and field of view), have independent focus/exposure and amongst other things raise the bit rate to an absurd 50Mbit/s (stock camera encodes at 17MBit/s), which captures absolutely all detail no matter how busy the image is. Of course this is something you probably shouldn't do if you are uploading.... file size should be small, plus it's going to get re-compressed by facebook anyways.
