Best By March 2007

Okay, so I'm sitting here studying for finals, snacking on a bag of Planters Sunflower Kernels when I notice; "Best By 03 08 07." I purchased these at the on-campus convenient store a couple days ago. Is there anything I can do about this other than just go back with the bag and raise hell? Is it even worth my time? I use to work at a Sam's Club in the grocery dept. and I would have to go through ALL the grocery items on the shelves as well as the items in the steel (the items that you have to get down with a fork lift) and keep up with the expiration dates and keep my stock rotated. It just pisses me off that a little convenient store on campus that charges you $4.00 for a 5oz bag of Sunflower Kernels can't keep up with their dates..

//end rant

Does the product taste okay?

To be honest, this is the first time I've ever ate sunflower kernels just plain. In other words, I've always consumed sunflower seeds with the shell and kernel.
