I don't know if this is considered a Hot deal but since the response is overwhelming in the other threads Best Buy in Southfield Michigan gave me a raincheck on the Iomega Zip CDRW 12x10x32 since it is also onsale for $129.00 at thier store. And since it is onsale at thier store it would seem that all BBs would give rainchecks This is definitly worth checking into.

if it specifically says no rainchecks in the ad or anywhere near the product, good luck, best buy will not honor it even if they fill out a form. if you can talk your way into it, you can probably get it.

if it doesn't, then you need to continually pester them to check stock and etc. they may never get any back in (altho, i doubt it in this case unless they drives were being discontinued).

BB doesn't do JACK w/rainchecks.

i've gotten around 5 rainchecks from bb and they have NEVER called me or sent me a notice that the product was received. and when i inquire about it they don't honor it.

At CompUSA here in Charlotte they gave out rainchecks until they were out of the slips of paper and stopped. Good thing I got mine before the sale and went back in for a price adjustment!

Best Buy didn't have a sign like Compusa that said No Rainchecks. Besides when I get a raincheck I just go up to the checkout. I don't ask if they'll honor it I just present it. Besides I figure it like this, if they have a policy that allows items on sale to be covered by a raincheck they'll honor it.The reason is because I'll make them honor it. If they think they're taking a hit by there own policy thats thier problem because I'm getting what thier policy says I can have. And thats what ever the raincheck says I can have at that price...Always remember the customer, that's us,is always right.LOL

Your right they don't call. I just used a raincheck the other day and they didn't call me I just saw it on the shelf and grabbed it and took it up to checkout and gave them the product and the raincheck and was out of there. No questions asked. that was a month after the check was issued

Personally Best Buy can kis my ***. I have been at the store in Evansville, IN on a Sunday morning at 2pm (after I go to church and drive 2hrs to get there) to get ad items they have and they are sold out. I have 7 rainchecks here for items that I wanted, one is 3 months old. All they are doing is having one or two of a item so they can advertise it and get you in the store. The ad may have great prices but you have to fight your way in at opening time and race for the deals or you won't get one.

And whatever you do don't buy a extended warrenty from them. It s**ks also.

Just my opinion, Everyone has to have one.
