About 4-5 months ago i bout a mp3 player form best buy with the Product Replacement Plan. But about 2 months ago the player broke and i went in for an exchange of the same product. Now here I am again and my product has again broke.

So now i want to exchange it again but i dont want the same player if it's going to keep breaking down on me. I read on their website that you can go in and request for a giftcard valued at the price you paid for the product. I'm not sure if I get the whole thing wonder if some one can explain to me or tell me their experiences. Thanks

You should be able to exchange for a different brand. If they don't let you, just talk to the manager.

this is Worst Buy we're talking about, not some place that actually has concern for the customer.

It says that if they can't fix it they replace it.
and then it goes on to talking about a giftcard for choosing my own replacement, but I'm not sure if i qualify.

because my player jus freezes up, and it isnt exactly broken. But it doesnt work either way. It can't charge or play music. It turns on and stays at the refresh database screen.

They will likely find a replacement model for yours, & if you don't want that one, you can pay the difference to get whatever other mp3 player you want.

"Can't charge or play music" IS unequivocally broken.

It depends on if you have a Product REPLACEMENT Plan, or a Product SERVICE Plan. If you have an ipod you have the later, which will be exchanged on the 4th repair or earlier at their discretion (read: almost never). If you have the replacement plan (basically anything not an ipod), then they will just exchange it out for whatever mp3 player you want of equal or lesser value to your current product.
