Best Buy Return Policy?

I received an xbox game as a gift from an Aunt. I have the game already and wish to exchange it for another. Problem is, I have no receipt. Game is unopened. Would they have a problem with this?

They more than likely won't give you cash back for it, maybe in store credit or let you exchange it for another game.

Just be nice to customer service and you should get an exchange. Also, have the game stickered before you walk in or they will think you stole it...

yeah they'll do it.. just be nice. they don't 'have' to... and if you get a jerkoff customer service rep, just come back tommorow morning and try again

yup, had to do this when trying to swap out my cell phone on their "warranty policy" a$$hats, oh well. ive upgraded phones 7 times in 3 yrs, :beer: to ripping off best buy.

I have started buying those replacement plans lately on all my stuff. It is soooo worth it. I bought one of those Logitech Elite keyboards, about 1.5 years ago and I have broken it twice since then, and gotten it replaced for free! w00t.

I also had an Panasonic MP3 CD player and I just didnt like it, so I took it back and said it skipped a lot (which it did) and I got a new Sony MP3 player instead. w00t!

That extra $7.99 or whatever is definately worth it.

depends on what it's for


ESPECIALLY on pda's.

there are two types of 'plans' PRP (product replacement plan)
and PSP (product service plan)

psp - gets sent off, and gone for 10-14 days
prp - automatically replacement (per policy, can only be used once.. so you must 'buy' another one)


now.. pda's have psps... buy they are just swapped out now..

so that 3 year psp will get you a spankin new pda in 2.5 years




on laptops, they must be serviced 3 times before they are replaced, or are replaced if the cost of repairing exceeds the cost of a new one (lcd, mobo)


keep in mind the 'battery not lasting long enough' excuse doesn't count towards the '3 repairs..'

see...im the exact opposite. i dont like the psp's. that $7.99 spent on one could buy me 14 taco's from jack n the box. im not prepared to take that kind of finacial risk.

lol, im kidding. depends on the purchase. i dont buy costly electronics at best buy though, mainly just dvd's.

Inkjet Printers are definately worth it. $20 for 2 years and maybe 90% of the time they just replace it for you. Laptops its worth it as well. It may be expensive, but if you replace your battery twice, you just paid for it...
