Best Buy Replacement for Emachines M6809

Hi all. I've been a long time lurker to these forums, but I thought I would finally register and post ...

I have an Emachines M6809 - bought in large part because of reviews and opinions here. I love the machine, and it's done everything I've asked it to. But it's now due to for a replacement through the Best Buy warranty no-lemon clause (one, broken hinges; two, hard drive died; three, optical drive died; four, optical drive replacement was wrong part; now I'm having bad screen flicker).

I haven't been paying attention to the laptop scene much since I got it. I was wondering if any of you had a suggestion for a good replacement. It must be Best Buy, of course. Things I really want: Core 2 Duo, 1+ GB RAM, Vista upgradeable, and most of all NON-integrated graphics.

My price range is 1300-1600 and I can wait until May or June to get the computer, if that is in time for Vista. I don't really know.

Any advice?

1300-1600 will get you a lot. Go for the fastest Core 2 Duo, 1 gb RAM, fastest biggest HD, and screen size of your choice.
