Best Buy Pricematch Question

I just bougth a Sirius setup, but BB did not have the Antenna in stock and they still don't. If I were to order it offline and bring it into the store could I price match it to get the free receiver?

They currently have a deal where if you buy the faceplate (remote thing for sirius) ($79.99) and the antenna ($49.99), they give you the Sirius receiver ($149.99) and 1 month of service for free.

 
no, Best Buy will not price match against any internet vendor (including bestbuy.com, which ironically is a separate company from best buy retail). The exception of course, is if you find a store with a spineless manager and you go in and piss and moan long enough.

That is assinine. I can buy the antenna online and return in at a B&M store, but I can't price match their own site.

You could always try the piss and moan route, though. Assuming of course you're willing to slaughter your dignity for a couple bucks.

The local Best Buy already owes me one for a comment made to me when my amp had to be sent in for service (I had the PSP). The dickhead install guy said they would not honor the PSP since the gains had been turned all the way up on the amp and this caused it to fry. I never once touched the amp and it was set at the level which the original BB installer set it at. After a month without my amp, the same dickhead from before installed the amp and told me that BB would not fix the amp if something happened again since the first repair was a favor.

 
that sucks, dude. Were I you, I'd get the number of their district office, talk to the head manager over there and bring the wrath of god down on 'em. Back when I worked for the company, some part-timer jerked a customer around like that, the customer called district and two days later the entire store got a new asshole reamed for them by the district manager. Wasn't very pretty.

Already spoke to the district manager. I used to work for a BB further up North and this is a newer one, but within the district. I personally know the district manager and I have made him aware of the situation.

Somewhat true. If the Internet vendor is local (in the same city as the BB location), currently has the item in stock and you have the option of driving there instead to buy the item, they will PM.

minendo, is that deal currently advertised in the flyer? If so, you're eligible for a raincheck. Have them print up the raincheck and have the manager write a note at the bottom + signature regarding the promotion. That should leave you golden.

I believe it was unpublished this week. The deal is good through April 31, but I just want the stuff now so I can get it installed.🙂
