Best Buy PDA warranty question...

Anyone know how Best Buy covers cracked screens on PDAs? I bought a three year warranty on my PDA and I remember the guy told me they were "really liberal" with it. He seemed to sell the warranty to me like it was a price protection thing. "If it breaks three years from now, you get a new one free..." (wink wink).

Anyways, I watched my GF drop the thing the other night on tile floor. The screen did not break, but it really got me worried... Do they cover this, or is this not included in the (wink wink) part of the schpeel that the sales guy gave me.

Anyone with experience? Thanks...

None of my BB warranty'd stuff has broken yet, but from what friends have told me they just hand you a new one and don't really bother fixing the old one.
They did that with a $3000 TV so I assume they'd do the same with a PDA.

I got my jornada 548 replaced with an Ipaq 3635 last year...but I worked there. But they will usually replace it right away if they don't sell your PDA model, meaning...they'll give you equivalent technology. Most PDA stuff isn't servicable by best buy, so they replace usually

unless you can get your GF to give the CSR and SUP a BJ you are SOL

Cracked screen is "abuse" and 99% of the time they will not cover it

1% of the time you can prove it's a manufacturer's defect because the airbag didn't deploy when your girlfriend dropped it.
