I can't stand all those friggin cards that you need for stores!!
And, it seems that a lot of the stores exaggerate the amount of the sale...
"Regularly $3.99, but with your card, it's only $1.99, save $2!!" (uhhh, wasn't it 2.99 last week?)

So, you're forced to carry a card or end up paying extra...
IIRC, I have 9 of those cards on my keychain. I just had to get a card for Tops Markets about 2 weeks ago. After filling out the form, and being handed the cards, I told the girl to throw out the wallet card and spare keychain card... "don't you want to put one in your wallet?" "No, I hate needing a friggin card every where I shop. My wallet would be an inch thicker if I carried around all the stupid cards that the stores give me. My only consolation is that since I realize your company wants to track my spending habits, I gave you a fake name and address, just to make me feel marginally better about thwarting your system."

of bad customers, the ones who only buy the loss-leader sale items.

<<---- bad loss leader buying customer here. I almost always buy things that are on special or sale.

For example, I went grocery shopping today and I bought boneless porkchops <$1/lb>, sobe bottles <$1 each>, 18 large eggs <$.50>, powerade 32 oz <$.50 each>.

I dont care if the stores are tracking my purchases or not. I have all the cards of all the stores that I shop at. I can save up to 50% or more on my bills. That's will add up for some serious money.

P.S. I will stop by CirCuitCity later this week for their DVDs sale <$5 each>. Like the old saying ***you could pay more, but why?****

They've gotta hate me... I buy non-perishable stuff by the case when it's on sale as a loss leader 🙂

BB is doing that occasionally. They are still testing the waters. This is fallout from the rebate crap that retail had issues with a few years back (and ongoing).

Is it really true BB is planning on doing away with rebates altogether by 07? Ive heard this rumor before, but I can't figure out how that will work. Either A. They have higher prices after rebate than other retailers, b. they give out instant rebates (read: lose lots of money) or c. Im a moron.
