Best Buy iPod Warrantee

Hi Folks --

I purchased the old generation iPod about a year ago (20 Gig). Love it, but there's some flakiness. Good thing that I purchased the extended warrantee from Best Buy. If I bring my iPod in, will I get the new generation iPod or the older one? Anyone done this?

Thanks,
-Mike

Service Plan or Replacement Plan?

LMAO

Their warranty sucks IMO.
For my old xbox they had to try to repair it three times then (and only then) can you use the amount of the original purchase toward the newer product. That is what happened to me.
Best Buy eats ass.

Service Plan or Replacement Plan?

Replacement plan. I think. I'll have to check on the actual form.

Phocas... Did you have the replacement or service plan? I can imagine that with the latter, you'd go through that rigamarole. I hope this isn't what I have.

I wonder... With the replacement plan, will I get some loving?

The replacement plan requires that you call up a 1-800 number and send in the item. You will then receive a voucher to use towards the purchase of a new item.

Thanks for the help. I'll get the plan and give them a call. Great responses on Anandtech!
