What I just can't begin in imagine is WHY does Nvidia continue to ship FX 5200 cards by the box full? I even came across them in a Circuit City once as well back in a mall in Rochester. The thing that got me about Walmart however was the fact it has just opened this year in Feb, only to get a fresh shipment of FX cards. That just isn't right.

The best card I can find in Best Buy is the 7800GS selling for about $350.

Yeah, the best local deal around me is a $600.00 X1900XTX at Best Buy. I think Best Buy has a return policy where if you can show that you could get their product somewhere else for less, that they'll refund you the price of the product + 10%. I think I remember reading somthing like that at their Customer Service areas and I thought, "I wonder how much Newegg is selling those for..."

I don't think the internet prices would count though, but who knows....

at newegg you can get x1900gt for $240 A/R
where ebay holds at $200 range

looks like 7900GT puts price presure on ATI as it dropped to $250 mark A/R

looks like x1900GT will be in $200 range in retail soon

when new refresh 580+ or something like that on 80nm will be ready?

Obviously the village idiots are buying them, so why not make more and make mo'money?

if you hunt on ebay you can get the x1800xl for about $150-160. its not bad, especially sice you can up the voltage and turn it into moreo r less an xt

I thank all you guys for your input, there seems to be a number of good choices. I just dropped the hammer on a new BBA X1900GT on Ebay for about $185 after shipping and insurance... I can't wait to drop it into my rig 😀

Is the X1900XT really as good as people say it is, I've seen benchmarks and it doesn't always edge the 7900GTX.

the 7900gtx is also $100 more. In bf2 and cod2 the x1900xt pwnzers.
