Must be a local thing, checked the Best Buy in Fairfield and Sacramento CA and no such deals. My only complain to the original post is that if you are going to take the time to post the info note the location of the store.

They only carry one.

Not all Best Buys will have this deal. However, this is Best Buy's clearance extraveganza (sp?). They always make room for new products right around this time. First they have insanely reduced prices for the employees to try to blow everything out. Then they have a "Bring friends/family" day where your friends and family get your employee discount+5% or something like that. If that doesn't sell everything, they put the low price tag on it and stick it on their shelf. This particular Best Buy just happens to be on step 3 (or maybe it doesn't have to be in any particular order, just as long as they get rid of it).
