Best Buy Employee Discount Question

For all those that work(ed) at Best Buy, does your employee discount only work on items that are carried in the store or does it include items that are offered online as well. I ask because if I get a job there, I would like to use my discount on a digital SLR, but the store I'm considering only physically carries the Canon Digital Rebel, while BestBuy.com carries many digital SLR's.

So would my option be limited just to the Digital Rebel, or would I be able to order one of the other digital SLR's with the employee discount?

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

Online was a completely separate entity than the B&M chain, AFAIK.

Yup, seems that most retail stores are like this with walmart included and probably target.

So I'd be limited to just the Canon Digital Rebel? That sucks!

Thanks all, for the clarification.

Here is what you can do. I know best buy employees who have done this before. Buy the item @BB.com. Return it at the Best Buy B&M. Then re-buy it. The camera will have a BB SKU, so it will work.

Fallen, I do realize how good the rebel is and until reading about the Nikon D70, the rebel was the clear choice, but I like to have some choices. I'm kind of torn between the Rebel and the Nikon D70 (when it's released), so It'd be nice to have options. Plus, bestbuy.com sells the Canon 10D, which could be an even better choice if the markup on digital cameras is big enough. However, I was talking to an employee at Tall's and he said the markup on all digital cameras is about 15%, which just plain sucks.

Uhh..did you even read the entire posts? He specifically mentions DSLRs. Among DSLRs, it isnt "the best".
