I'm still waiting for a $40 rebate from Western Digital for the same drive I bought about a year ago. I don't do rebates anymore 🙂. I also bought Hitachi last time, for that reason. I read a thread here the other day that claimed that filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau will get immediate results, but I consider that a scam, and won't participate. Manufacturers could reimburse the retailers, after the sale, more easily than they can the individual customer, if they really intended to refund the discounts, IMO.
