Just went to best buy today to finish my christmas shopping and ran accross a 80GB Western Digital IDE hard drive for 25 bucks. It has 8 mb cache also. I dont know if they will have the sale after christmas but they might should check it out/
 
I'm still waiting for a $40 rebate from Western Digital for the same drive I bought about a year ago. I don't do rebates anymore 🙂. I also bought Hitachi last time, for that reason. I read a thread here the other day that claimed that filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau will get immediate results, but I consider that a scam, and won't participate. Manufacturers could reimburse the retailers, after the sale, more easily than they can the individual customer, if they really intended to refund the discounts, IMO.
 
Yeah really, this deal has been posted so many times and on so many forums. The deal was good the first day when I got 2. $25 AR and 10% off coupon made it $16 or so each before tax. Still a decent deal.
