Anyone out there using an NEC ND 3520? If so what burner software are you using? I'm running WinXP Pro I'd like to use Nero software, but I'll use whatever's most compatible with the burner. Thanks.

Nero is perfect, go ahead and use that. Shouldn't be any issues with that particular burner that I'm aware of.

I think any problems that you'll have(if any at all), would be with the cd-media your using. So just be sure to use a good brand of cd/dvd-r/rw and use nero. I use nero for just about everything. I also have a copy of Sonic DVD as well, and I have had no issues with that either. Nero seems to be your best bet though.

I've been using Nero with no coasters, CD or DVD. Just remember to get all the updates.

Nero is the Popeye's Chicken of the burning world.

That is, to say, the shizznit.

I certainly agree. Nero is my preference as well. Though for copying anything other than vanilla discs, I prefer DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink (though you may as well use Nero Recode in place of Shrink if you go with Nero) to AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. IMHO, nothing does it better than Decrypter and Shrink, and they're both free (though I'd toss some spare change the author's way, especially for Decrypter - he does quite a bit of updating and has a nice forum for support).

It depends on what your doing.

But if doesn't matter which burner you have. The best software out there, for any burner, is Nero. I also like alcohol 120% a lot for burning images. Namely images with .cue files or .mds files, which for some reason Nero has problems with. Especially .cue files for .mp3 files.

Thanks everyone for the great replies. For for those of you with the NEC 3520, what's a good DVD-ROM drive to accompany it? I plan to put both on my secondary IDE channel (an Intel 865PERLK mobo). Thanks again
