this thread is dedicated to low price devices, ss the most of the smart phone manufacturers are starting to focus on low-end markets too.

I would like to this to be a rolling thread. All prices should be off-contract purchase prices

So give us your recommendations...

Asus Zenfone 5

Sub $200

This is about as good an idea as having a rolling thread for high-end smartphones. i.e. not.

Not necessarily so. The prices may fluctuate but the phones stay the same. Unless another manufacturer enters the fray.

If you don't like the thread topic then the polite thing to do is just move on.

I see nothing bad about having a budget phone thread. Sometimes people don't need bleeding edge technology or are currently cash strapped with a broken phone.

I'll need to remember that the next time someone craps in a thread about whether phones are too big.

OK, perhaps "bad idea" was not the best choice of words - try "useful" instead. Prices and availability vary greatly by geography and carrier (just as they do for higher-end devices). For example, the Moto E currently sells for $180 in Canada, more than the Moto G!

Well my thought was a thread like this is created every few months. So whoever has insight should post "as of xx date" "yy country/location" "$zzz" price. Very simple and 1 place to go
