Best budget laser printer?

I got the Lexmark e210 from Staples awhile back for under $100 after rebate. it works nicely, has parallel and USB both.

Also checkout samsung & brother........... they have some pretty good laser printers in your pricec range.

Cheers,
Aquaman

Samsung ML-1210 - for $129.99 after rebates at Best Buy awhile ago, it's hands down the best price/performance leader.

Another vote for Samsung. I've been using the 1210 for about a year now.. and it's been great. I recommended it to a few friends and NONE of them have had a complaint.

I will vote for Samsung ML4500. (why older model ?)

Basically 1210 is similar to ML4500 w/ added USB port.
But ML4500 cartidge cost only $59 at CompUSA vs 1210's $79. But then again, if you don't print like hundreds of paper everyday, it makes no different.
(Besides, the ML4500 in my office has been through 10 cartridge for little over a year, and surprise this printer still no sign of retiring.)

I looked at that deal, but, unfortunately, it was long gone by the time I got to it--OOS online and locally. They have it for $159 at amazon ($177 shipped), but on the other hand the newer ML-1430 is $184 (shipped free) at buy.com.

Lexmark E312L just scored one of these for $230. The higher capacity cartridges cost less in the long run and the printer is very robust. If you have any problems then Lexmark has a sweet RMA process.
