Best budget cpu air cooler?

Despite being a older thread,its still relevant enough for me to chip in i guess.I got a 212 on my i7 8700 non k and its good enough.Load temps typically are under 80cel with Prime95 testing.Only would recommend a 212 for a i7 8700 non k as a stock cooler replacement.If you want any overclocking on the k series,its prob best to seriously avoid the 212.

Edit:I had a i5 8400 and stock cooler had pretty much nearly the same load temps as my 8700 with the 212.So the 212 would certainly be fine for the i5 8400 if not almost overkill since the stock is fine.But for noise values,i guess a 212+ noctua fan can't honestly be beat.
