best budget card for win 2k?

I recently made the transition to win2k,however im less than happy with my ati rage fury's performance in win2k in games,and the drivers etc seem a tad sketchy.(weird error on boot etc).Im looking for soemthing to carry me over with decent performance til a geforce 3 comes down to earth some.How are the v5's under win2k,id rather try an nvidia alternative if possible,sample all the flavors.by budget i mean the sub $150 category,something with repectable 3d and vibrant 2d.
Also how do 3dfx based cards do under win2k? v3,v4 etc??
thnx in advance,aside from the ati glitch i am very impressed with this os,very stable so far!
 
Voodoo 5 5500s are around $130. The image quality is pretty good although driver support is virtually non-existent.
