Best Brand Name no one has ever heard of

Honestly I saw best band and though best brand. A small amount of parody in this thread.


However, I was really interested in know some of the best Brand Names atot uses that not alot of people know about or isn't mainstream.

Also interested in products that not a lot of people know about or are not mainstream.




One I like is a drink from Brazil that isn't very popular in the US. Guarana made by Antarctica.

Guarana is pretty good, although a bit too sweet.

Kef is a decent contender, they don't have as big of a presence in the US as B&W does right now.

Let's see, for my contribution, I'll have to go with:


ACI, Audio Concepts Incorporated

They are based in Wisconsin and make some pretty darn good sounding and looking speakers/subwoofers. I own the ACI Maestro XL, and its hits 20hz nicely (~105db in room at 10% THD) and looks great doing so.

I love this stuff, but it's kind of expensive and hard to find in certain areas. There's another brand that makes it as well but doesn't taste as good. I only know of it 'cuz I'm originally from Brazil though.

I don't know of any other ones; it's kind of like trying to find the next UnderArmour. And by the time that you hear about it, it's already pretty big.

Hendrick's gin--hasn't gotten the same brand awareness as Bombay Sapphire or Ten but give it a few years and this'll be more popular/cliche than Grey Goose. I live in DC (good bar/club/lounge scene) and still its only available in the very upscale bars. It's the best-tasting gin I've ever had--and I'm not a gin drinker! Got me to switch from my vodka tonics.
