I'm looking for a new battery for a Dell inspiron 1525 and have found a lot of non-Dell options but have only heard of 1 of them as a brand. Would anyone here have any experience of the following brands?

2-POWER
ANKER
Energy Plus
LENOGE
PremierLine
Superb Choice

Lenoge are popular on Amazon and seem very cheap (which worries me) but the rest all seem to be sensibly priced, offer 1 year warranties and are sold by websites with decent enough reputations such as;

www.chargersdirect.co.uk
www.duracelldirect.co.uk
www.mdsbattery.co.uk
www.newegg.com
www.thelaptoppowersupplyshop.co.uk

Does anyone have any experience of the above? any feedback would be welcomed.

Have no clue as to Euro brands. For me, the "best" is from the OEM. Otherwise, I go to a local store, Batteries Plus, and get one there. If it doesn't work right, it is easy to return and/or exchange.

Isn't Anker an Amercan brand? I'm based in N Ireland and there are chuff all stores to go to for this kind of thing so it'll have to be online for me.

AFAIK, Anker is a multinational group. OK, I understand how you are online bound. Just based on brand familiarity, I would probably go with duracelldeirect.co.uk

duracell are the most high profile brand certainly although the batteries they sell are 2-Power which I've never heard of.

Have used Anker before & they last.

Thanks, good to know, they were near the top of my list for possibles.

The Lenoge are only £13 for a 7800 mAh which one the one hand sounds like a guarantee of crap quality but on the other is so cheap it's almost worth a throwaway punt.

Chargersdirect.co.uk sell a 7800mAh for £35 which sounds healthier but there's no brand listing at all on it.

BTW, I searched all the posted sites and can't find anything labeled LENOGE. Got a link to one?

I use Anker for laptop batteries and lots of other smaller gadgets/parts. I have always been very satisfied with them.

In the US I got a 9 cell 6600Mah for USD $15 (currently USD $9.99 prime) from Amazon in Feb for a Dell 1525. Brand was not specified. I don't understand the 7800Mah rating, should be 6600. Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001M0JAVC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
I also figured for the price I could get 3 to have one and still be ahead. It worked fine which was so much the better.

I've seen 6 cell batteries range from 4400-5200mAh and 9 cells from 6600-7800mAh so I'd guess it's to do with the capacity of the individual cells.

My reasoning is the same as yours, for twelve quid I'll take a punt, if it dies in a month I'll grab an Anker, if not it'n only just over a tenner.
