Best book on playing Lead guitar?

I need some sort of clear guidance rather than people telling me to aimlessly 'play & practice'

What's a good book on leading- real time? (some of like santana in many recent pop songs)

i don't know any good books on lead guitar, although there are plenty of books out there (maybe check amazon?). i just never read any books. my advice is find an album that you think has great lead guitar and buy the book for it. i'm sure most of santana's albums have books with the music and tab. then start learning songs. doing so will force you to learn new techniques or just give you more material for your own bag of tricks.
