I just got a GREAT idea for a busniess, and want to try to build the site myself. I know a TON about computers, and I've even had to write a basic webserver for a class and know SQL very well, so the backend for me should be easy to manage.
The problem is the frontend. I know exactly what I want the site to look like, and the graphics themselves are no problems, but the site will require people creating accounts and such, and I need to be able to keep track of balances in their account, sort of a paypal type deal except I am the only one who will be sending them money.
The question is this -- what's the best way to go about building this sort of site? Are there any off the shelf products that could help?
