I am about to embark on my first pc build. My previous pc cam with PC Doctor which could start from to bios screen or windows and did a pretty good job of diagnostics.

I need a boot disk for an i5 2500 Sand Bridge build with Windows 7 that have some decent diagnostic tools. Any suggestions?

It looks like there a lot of good utilities on there. I've used a few of them. Any idea what I'd want to run on a brand new built to check bios and hardware, then the windows installation?

BIOS is built-in to your motherboard. It will give you an indication on the splash screen on how to access it (usually del, tab, or F12). You'll want to set the proper memory timings, cpu frequency, etc from here.

Are you having problems? If not, there is really no need to run a diagnostics. For the most part, building a PC is plug n play...
