Hey everyone. I had a really bad experience with the Foxconn P4M800 RS2, for only $50 on newegg, I learned my lesson not go to with cheap low quality motherboards when you're looking to overclock. Anyways, I have a Pentium D 805 that i'm looking to run at ~3.4ghz overclocked, and I wanna find a good board for this project. My budget is around $150. It needs to have locked SATA RAID and a PCI-e slot. They're a bit hard to find on newegg with both the locked RAID and PCI-e without a bad review for overclocking. Any suggestions?

For overclocking the 805, you don't need to go much beyond 200 fsb, so the best board within your price range would probably be the Asus P5LD2 Deluxe. Note: You may have to flash the BIOS to get a dualcore chip to work properly.

ASUS P5LD2 series, ABIT AL8 series. Those two are the best 945P mobo (Price per performance wise) out there right now. Probably AW8 as well, if you can find it for cheap.

4.1 is on water and requires a big honkin power supply. 3.4 is a realistic goal on air.
