I am building a new system. Here are the parts I already have.

Antec SX835ii case
PNY TI4200 128 meg 8X agp vid card
Geil 512 stick of pc3200 Cas2 mem
Creative Audigy SC
Lite-On 48x CDRW
Lite-On 16x DVD drive
(2) WD 80gig 8meg cache HD's

I am ordering the mobo/cpu tonight from newegg and I'm using an AMEX, so I will get the BVG benefit. 🙂

I will order the Intel P4 2.4 C-1 but I am undecided about the Mobo. I would like Raid (striped) and 10/100/gig Lan option. I will most likely overclock, but not much though 🙂

My current system is an Abit BH-6 mobo and Celeron 300A oc'd to 450. Runs like a champ but kids want a computer so dad will build himself another . 🙂

All input will be greatly appreciated

If you must buy now, go with the Abit IT7 max2 v2 or else a loaded Asus P4PE. Can't go wrong with either one though i understand that the Abit board has an undervolting quirk while the Asus board overvolts. The overvolting is a minor issue and cold-boot problems are much less prevalent than with the Abit board but it depends on the particular board. Hopefully you should draw a good board now that there are more mature revisions of the boards available. I could recommend a Granite Bay board but supply is still tight for these boards and as such carry quite the premium price.

PS...I noticed that you have a stick of Geil, then you definitely want the Abit board for absolute compatibility.

Be sure to get a tube of Arctic Silver. You're going to want to overclock this baby and AS is some good stuff.
