best board for an athlon xp?

Okay a buddy of mine is looking to build a new system. What is the best motherboard out right now? Something that is powerful yet also has few incompatabilities. He's going to be using an athlonxp chip. Looking for something with ddram.

it has the new via kt266a chipset... and any of the new boards with that chipset would work great for him

I know he is getting all/some of these things but is he set on anything in particular?
