Best BLUE CHEESE BURGER

Ok. I've got a kick for blue cheese burgers.

For those that don't know what that is: It's a hamburger with blue cheese.

Here's my critique:

Applebees: Burger is mediocre. Blue cheese is OK, but need to ask for EXTRA blu cheese.

Ruby Tuesday: DAMN good burger, but blue cheese lacks a good, sharp blue cheese flavor. More like a blue cheese dressing (ok... better than that) than a blue cheese "sauce." But DAMN good burger.

Bennigans: Burger's good. Blue cheese is good. Mini onion rings a nice touch. Across the board better than mediocre, but nothing to write home about.

Pitcher's Bar and Grill in lobby of Miami Airport Marriot: Good burger, SHARP blue cheese (that's a good thing.) Adds bacon. Nice touch. I liked it a lot.

Any "honorable mentions" or places I missed due to local?

I'm going to have to find me a good "blue cheese sauce" to put on some burgers of my own (I'm a grilling fool.) Haven't found it yet. I find either "dressing" or just a box of cheese, but nothing really suitable to use as a sauce, so any suggestions are welcome.

Applebees blue cheese burgers and steaks are amazing...that's because the blue cheese is real. As for doing it at home, just buy real blue cheese, and melt it yourself over whatever your eating on the BBQ or oven 🙂

Chilli's Blue cheese burger, Very good burger, Very good blue cheese.

Sadly my favorite burger is from Fruddruckers.

You need to try other places. Applebees is the first place that I had blue cheese burgers and steaks and then I "branched out" and found that everyone else has a better version.

There seems to be some sort of "sauce" involved. You know? More than just "melted blue cheese." I'll try "real" blue cheese, but I don't think it'll be the same.

Chilli's here doesn't have any kind of blue cheese burger on the menu. 🙁 They also took the fried catfish off the menu. 🙁

Really great burgers don't need any type of cheese. They stand on their own.

If you eat more than 5 per week, you would disagree with that statement. 😀 Variety is the spice of life, but using a good burger as the base is pure nirvana. 😀
