I'm getting more & more frustrated with Azureus, as it doesn't seem to able to stably run on my server comp, a 1700+ with 384 MBs of SDRAM.

Keep the suggestions coming, as i will be looking for a new client to try out as soon as my current batch of dls/uls finishes.

You must be doing something wrong.

That's what i don't understand.

My system it runs on should love it & ask for more, yet even with the latest Java & Azureus versions, it crashes/freezes every time i have more than about 10 uls/dls, & the log states
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
.

Maybe you can help, since i don't get why it's freezing.

ABC is the way to go. It's like Azureus, only it's faster, doesn't take up as much memory, and has a cleaner interface.

Added: Wait, I guess it's nothing like Azureus. =)

Have you done a full wipe of the Java/Azureus, reboot, reinstall? J2RE 5.0 / AZ 2.2?

I've been trying out BitComet... It seems to be one of the leanest clients around. It a native x86 program, and not interpreted like Java (Azureus) or Python (Python is, right?) (ABC, G3, BitTornado, etc.). Memory usage on mine is around 15MB + disk cache (changable).

I'm using Azureus myself. It's good but I find it a bit heavy on the memory usage. Can't complain much coz it has to load the JVM as well.

I like Azureus's ability to block certain IPs from an updated list via the SafePeer plugin.
