Which bittorrent application do you think is best for downloading (and why)? Also, will I have a problem with that and my Zonealarm? :cookie:

i started an Azureus vs. ABC (and vs. BitComet) thread not too long ago... mainly out of frustration that none of them did exactly what I wanted. I eventually returned to Azureus because it's the total package, despite the resource hogging in comparison to the other apps.

I liked Azureus, but I suspect I should look into finding an insiders guide onto use of bittorrents AND on how to find stuff to share. Im not really into the mp3/movie sharing thing. So far all my use has been um... lets say clean (or unquestionable) with stuff like linux and what not. I really havn't gotten that much to share at this point anyways.

Still would like an insiders guide to bittorrents, but would also like a guide to Azureus and all its little possible updates. It has a bunch listed, but no indication of why I would want them. Basically a laymens guide to what they are all about.

I don't see why you would forward a range of ports. You forward the port that is specified in your BT client.

I use BitComet... highest I've gotten was 6xxkb/s :D

Go here if you need more info about port forwarding and just look for your specific router.

By default port 6881. Makes a world of difference if you have a router with NAT.

bit-comet. Azureus, though a good app, is too much of a resource-hog for my POS toshiba.
