you won't find ANY of those at any store near you. well, maybe one or two, tops. they're mostly micro-micro-microbrews, or special edition things, or both.

You can never go wrong with Steel Reserve...it's Gravity Brewed!:D:beer:

And strong, and cheap!

Beer is an extreme personal preference. Try them, see what you like.
Then fill up your basement with empties.

If you're ever in London, go to Belsize Park and check out a pub called The Rat and Parrot. Best Kronenbourg in the world

Call package stores in your area. Almost any decent package store will have some selection of rare import and microbrews and some truly specialize in gourmet beers. I've got a few favorite stores that will easily stock 100-200 microbrews or rare imports, between the 3 I visit most it's possible to find almost anything. A good package store that understands the microbrew scene will split up six packs and allow you to buy single bottles. That's key as it allows you to sample dozens of styles cheaply. If a store doesn't allow you to split up sixes, shop elsewhere.

BTW, I saw a bunch of beers from Rogue brewery on that list, that's a good place to start. They're very popular now and pretty easy to find, any package store that's got a good microbrew selection will likely have some of the Rogue stuff in stock or will have a distributor that can get it for them. They make some really impressive beers, easily the most consistently excellent small brewery in the US.

"Chocolate" and "Fruit" beers are not beer.

#29 Maudite, is a way way too strong overpowering beer.

I'd seriously take this list with a grain of salt. It is pretty much like film critics and the Oscars recognizing film noir and other independent crap as "films of the year".

the first number after the beer is the rating, then the number of reviews, and i'm not sure what the last number is.

Maudite is great stuff, very stong, but a clear taste.
Fin du Monde is also good stuff, also very stong. They're both made by Unibroue, which is a medium-sized microbrewery in Quebec. IMO all their beers are very good, but they're all pretty strong.
Looking on that list, they have Maudite, Fin du Monde, Unibroue 11, Trois Pistoles and Don de Dieu, all from the same microbrewery on there.

Others they have that I think are great are Ephemere and Blanche de Chambly.

I tried #21 Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout the other night. A very good beer with a deep rich chocolate flavor and almost 9% alcohol content.

The only downside is that it's sold in a four pack.

Good stuff! Pretty cheap too.
