Hello,

I need to build a computer for a friend and i was wondering what you guys thought would be a totally decent motherboard with outstanding stability and reliability. I'm also trying not to spend more than $75 for the motherboard. I need stuff like firewire and USB 2.0 and hopefully a motherboard of the nForce 2 chipset. I don't need the ability to overclock.

Thanks

If it was me I would spend a little extra and get an Nforce2 board, Asus or Abit. but for that price range I would get the SY-KT400 Soyo dragon light for around $80

if there's a Fry's near you, they have FIC AU11 Nforce 2 board for only $80. It's a clone of Epox 8RDA+ minus the LED display.

Abit KD7-E (KT333) is a great "minimal frills board". Probably cost you around $80 or so at newegg, it is an easy play.
