roy halladay is tearing it up right now...started out 0-2 and now is 15-2, 15 straight decisions...he hasn't lost in 20 straight starts!
gagne and smoltz are the 2 best closers right now, smoltz might have more saves but it can be said gagne is more dominating. the era might not prove it but the strikeouts and whip sure do.
barry bonds is still the best hitter out there.
alex rodriguez is the best infielder in the game offensively, he is pretty solid defensively too.
future superstar? pujols has had amazing numbers and i wouldn't say future since he's already done it, people that don't follow baseball might not know him but he's already established himself.
vernon wells is coming into his own.
