my current bank SUCKS when it comes to fee's even with my standard savings account which I hardly use. I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to banking and options, I know I probably want a check card, and no monthly fee's but what else should I look for, and what is a good bank to do buisness with, other then Key Bank for they are a bunch of #(*%# @)&$%)( #%)*ers...

Nation wide availibilty would be nice, but not required, just some bank that has branches in atleast oregon, washington and california.

Washington Mutual - great customer service and great web presence.

My fiance and I have 3 free checking accounts between the 2 of us.

Sorry you'll have to do location detail.

thats kinda who I felt I wanted to go with, but I wanted (want) some opinions :). I forgot to mention, webtools on account balence and such are a definate must.

I'm with BankOne and I really like it.

TCF Bank is also really good, but their online banking sucks.

Washington Mutual seems to fit your criteria.

Wells Fargo I've heard has the best online banking of any bank.

Bank of America has a huge presence everywhere from east to west coast.

Credit Unions are the best but are also the smallest in terms of ATM network, online banking, etc.

Citibank has awesome customer service. I opened a checking account with them a couple months ago when they were running the $150 bonus special, but I'm gonna close it next month since they don't have any locations in my area.

I would go with either Wells Fargo or Washington Mutual.

Both have plenty of presence in the northwest. Washington Mutual may have slightly lower fees on some items, but Wells Fargo's online banking setup blows other banks away.

I have to agree, Wells Fargo's online banking is awesome, compared to Chase's online banking, which looks like a 5 year old cobbled it together..i have both of them, never had a problem with either..Bank of America is the largest I think, I work at Eckerds, and lots of people have their check cards..I'd just go with whoever has branches /ATMs in your local area, that's why I signed up with Wells Fargo after I already had an account with Chase, to avoid paying ATM fees.
