I'm a little low on cash and I really want to buy a new video card. I currently have a GeForce 2 Pro. MOST of the games run fine except for a few demos I got. I just wanted to know what I should get that's cheap. Also, what is the best card to get disregarding money. Who knows, I might just get a job ^^. Also, I won't get the card immediately, but I would like to know what card would be best in the next month or so, so that I can figure out how much money to save starting now.

Best card price/performance wise I think is the ATI Radeon 8500LE 128mb which can be had for ~$110. Or you can go with a GeForce3 Ti200, which is also a nice price/performance card. In about a month, the best card will be the ATI 9700PRO.

😉 Yup, the GF3TI200 and Rad8500/8500LE offer great perf and are under $100! The Rad8500LE is faster than the GF3TI200 even when the GF3 is o/c'ed, the Rad also has better image quality, TVout, dual monitor support and DVD playback, though the GF3 is much better for AA & Aniso. Athlon1.4 can take great advantage from a GF4TI4200 card and these are about $130 (64MB) and $150 (128MB), they are excellent all rounders and o/c fantasticly. Whatever you get, do pay a little more for a 128MB card, 64MB will become limiting quite heavily with newer games. EG. 4200-64MB at 285/600 runs slower than 4200-128MB at 250/444 when more than 64MB is req.
