Best bang for the buck?

I don't know the ATI video card line up that well, so can someone help me. My friend wants to get this card: Asus EAX1950PRO/HTDP/256M Video Card PCI Express x16, Dual DVI (http://usa.asus.com/products.a...odel=1411&modelmenu=1)

Is it a good deal for that price? Is it about equivalent to an Nvidia 7900?

If you can find it for 140$ or less it's a good card. If you are willing to pay 200$ for it, you might as well pay 60$ extra for a 8800gts 320mb.
